FCCA Huntersville Competitive Soccer
1. What is challenge and classic soccer ?
Challenge soccer teams are formed by tryout process and play in the Charlotte Area Challenge league. The teams age from u9 (as at August 1st) to u14.
Classic soccer teams are the next level up. Teams are formed at tryouts. Games are organized by the North Carolina Youth Soccer League. Age range is from u11 to u18. Both levels require a year long commitment.
2. Where are games and practices ?
For Challenge teams practices are once a week at STRIKERS and once at a local grass field ( normally North Meck Park in Huntersville ). Home games are played in Huntersville with away games in Charlotte or surrounding area.
For Classic teams at u11 and u12, practices are once a week at Strikers and once a week at North Meck Park. Home games are played in Huntersville.
For u13+ Classic teams, the schedule will be based on the geographical split of the team roster. We are aware of the demands on parents at this level. We believe we will have a good sensible choice with regard to the strength of a team and a high level of coaching that will be appealing to parents.
3. Benefits of FCCA ?
Strong local college coaches' contacts will ensure a high standard of coaching as your child progresses through the age groups. A high number of kids joining the program from different areas will help produce strong teams at the older age groups.
4. Fees.
Fees will be split into a Club fee and a team fee. Purchase of the soccer uniforms will be also required. The fees will cover registration/field rentals/referees/basic tournaments/insurance etc. Challenge fees should total around $500 to $600 and classic around $900 to $1000. This is total for Fall and Spring.

5. Tryouts will cost $25.
